Documentation

A Project like Mascara is pretty useless without through documentation. Therefore I've published the beginnings of what is going to be through documentation of Mascara ECMAScript 4.

Among other things, there are pages about some of the new features in the latest releases, which I haven't gotten around to describe here on the blog:

This is really beneficial, Olav!

Just a couple things I noticed: "Constructors" is in the documentation list twice (both the fifth item on the list and the fourth from the bottom).

Under Dynamic classes, the first sentence starts with "In Classis Javascript" instead of "In Classic Javascript".

One thing that would be super-beneficial in the docs would be to list the browser support (e.g. FF 2+) and the version of Javascript (e.g. JS 1.5+). Many developers (including myself) prefer to write and debug code directly against a particular browser and to only use a code-generator like Mascara to target older/proprietary browsers.

I could research this and email you with the data, if you'd like -- or even help insert it into the docs.

Thank you Peter, this is much appreciated.

You have a very good point about browser support. The documentation should probably include a big grid with language features on one axis and browsers on the other axis.

Your research, or any links you may have to such research, would definitely be appreciated! You can mail me at olav(a)olav.dk.
